Generating Understanding

Information is power.  Generation Green educates parents and concerned citizens about the environmental health dangers created by common everyday products.  With understanding comes a motivation to change not only our individual behaviors, but also the policies and practices that allow toxic substances into our lives.  

Generation Green focuses on three core problem areas, each having separate issues that the general public needs to understand.  Click the buttons at left to learn more about these topics:

Toxins in foods: We look to food for nutrition and basic sustenance.   For children, these needs may also come with dangerous extra substances.  Review our section on toxins in foods to find out how pesticides might be present in childrens' diets.

Healthy Homes: Many common household products include dangerous toxins.  Learn how to do what you can to ensure that within walls of your home, you are doing all that you can to keep your families safe.

Schools and Playgrounds:  Aside from your home, schools and playgrounds are where your children spend the most time.  Learn abut some of the hidden dangers that may be present in these locations and what you can do to reduce childrens' risk.
