We Are
Generation
Green: Founded
in 1998 as a project of Citizen Action, Generation Green gives parents an
effective voice in advocating for an environmental policy that protects
children. In addition, Generation Green encourages its many
members and others to be environmentally conscious consumers and exercise
the power of their pocketbooks by voting with their money.
Generation Green’s outreach program is parent friendly and parent
focused.

Raffi
A Children's Troubadour
Author and Performer
Raffi is an internationally acclaimed family entertainer, songwriter and
author whose ecology advocacy is a blend of his love for children and for
the Earth. In addition to his music, Raffi lectures on the benefits
of "A Child-Honoring Society" and has developed A
Covenant for Sustaining Children. His autobiography, The
Life of a Children's Troubadour, was published in the fall of
1998 by Homeland Press.

Dr. Lynn Goldman
Mother and Scientist
In 1993, Dr. Goldman, a pediatrician and epidemiologist, was appointed as
Assistant Administrator for the EPA's Office of Prevention, Pesticides and
Toxic Substances. Under her watch, the EPA expanded our
right-to-know through the Toxics Release Inventory and overhauled many of
the nation's pesticide laws. Currently, she is Principal
Investigator on Children's Health for the Pew Environmental Health
Commission. Dr. Goldman was interviewed by The Green

Davis
Executive Director
Rochelle Davis is the founder of Generation Green, and has extensive experience in
advocacy and educational efforts related to environmental issues, particularly those
involving children's health. She is the co-author of the cookbook and healthy eating
guide Fresh Choices: Easy Recipes for Pure Food When You Can’t Buy 100%
Organic, and she is also the executive director of the
Illinois Healthy Schools
Campaign. Here she is shown with her niece when they appeared on
NBC-Chicago News in 1998. NBC-Chicago News broke the story about toxic toys,
one of the issues on which Generation Green has successfully advocated.
Cheryl Bondy Kaplan Associate Director
Cheryl Kaplan has extensive experience in fundraising, finance, marketing, communications and
public policy. She has an undergraduate degree in Economics and Public Policy from Duke
University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg
School of Management. Her responsibilities include development, event planning, and
communications.
Jeff
Bouley Communications Specialist
Jeff has previously worked for trade magazines and association publications dealing
with environment and healthcare issues. He currently handles the writing and
design of many of Generation Green's materials, such as newsletters, action alerts,
membership kits and brochures, and he maintains the Web site.
Mary Guthrie Membership Coordinator
Since the mid-1980s, Mary has
implemented membership programs for many environmental and consumer
organizations. She engages in outreach activities for Generation
Green, and helps to write and edit materials for members. She also does book
reviews for the Web site.
