Kamagra is a drug used in erectile dysfunction. It restores reduced erectile function, increasing blood flow to the penis. The mechanism of action is based on the release of nitric oxide in the cavernous bodies at the time of sexual excitement. Free nitric oxide activates the guanylate cyclase enzyme, stimulating an increase in cGMP, which causes relaxation of the smooth muscle fibers of the corpora cavernosa and an increase in blood flow.

Indications

Generic Kamagra is used in men suffering from erectile dysfunction (inability to achieve or maintain an erection which ensures successful sexual intercourse).

Dosage and administration

Kamagra is used orally. For the effective action of this drug, sexual excitement is necessary. The pill is taken an hour before sexual intercourse. The recommended single dose is 50 mg (preferably on an empty stomach). The maximum single dose is 100 mg.

Overdose

Possible symptoms: visual impairment, headache, flushing, dyspepsia, dizziness, nasal congestion. In case of an overdose, standard supportive measures are conducted.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to any component of the drugs;
  • Simultaneous administration of drugs relating to nitric oxide (amyl nitrite) or nitrates in any form;

Interaction with other medications and alcohol

You should not use the drug if you are already using some kind of medication to increase potency, otherwise, an overdose is possible. Also, do not combine sildenafil with a number of cardiac drugs. In general, when taking various other substances, only the physician can indicate the exact consequences of their interaction, since in many respects everything depends on the dose. Do not combine the drug with alcohol. Alcohol at high concentration negatively affects an erection. When taking Kamagra simultaneously with alcohol, it can reduce the drug effect.
